Scottish Feudal Baronies

These ancient titles were conveyed with ownership of a specific area of land - known as the caput. This changed in 2004 when they became "incorporeal feudal hereditaments." This is the only title of nobility which is recognized by it's gov't and which may be conveyed freely.
